Honda pulled the plug on its once popular model Civic in India back in 2013 owing to sluggish demand. Having launched the tenth generation Civic in international markets lately, the company is confident of the product and is mulling to bring it back to India. Packed in an entirely new skin, the premium saloon will be powered by a petrol engine and there could be an option for a diesel unit as well.

New Honda Civic Preview

Honda is looking at reviving its premium range in India and Civic is one of the few models that are headed to domestic market. The tenth generation Civic will be launched in India sometime in 2017 featuring copious changes over the 8th gen model. An all new design language, spruced up interior and new engine line-up is what is expected of the new Civic.
New Honda Civic Exteriors
With a new design language, Civic is expected to get comprehensive exterior changes. A new grille in front, a relatively low stance and new tail lamps are some of the conspicuous changes over the previous model.
New Honda Civic Interiors
Cabin is likely to be all new featuring new design and styling elements. Just like the 8th generation model, the upcoming version will be spacious too.
New Honda Civic Engine specification & Transmission
Engine set up could comprise of two petrol units churning out meaty power and there could be an option for a diesel unit as well.
Honda Civic Competition
In the premium saloon segment, the new Honda Civic will compete with rivals like Volkswagen Jetta, Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Cruze and Skoda Octavia.
Honda Civic Expected Price
It is expected that new Honda Civic will be priced from Rs 13 to 17 lakh onwards.
Honda Civic Expected Launch
Honda is expected to launch new Civic in India sometime next year, although there is no set timeline for the launch.
